When you want to start your day off on the right foot or have a lunch that makes you smile the rest of the day through, head to Black Honey Hashery. And if you don’t want to get out of the car, owner Molly Bluma understands and that’s why there’s a convenient drive-thru so you can roll up and place your order.
The drive-thru is “likely one of the reasons this place survived the pandemic” says Bluma. The fantastic food and drinks will certainly have you coming back for more. Growing up with a dad in the food business, Molly’s father had his own pizza place where she would spend lots of her time. Watching him mixing ingredients in the huge kitchen equipment and making wonderful things inspired her to follow in his footsteps.
Only Molly wanted to do something a little different. After graduating from Fox Valley Tech’s Culinary Program, she spent the next 5 years at The American Club, followed by Titletown Brewing Company, a place she’d stay on as Executive Chef for much of her 18 years there. As Titletown grew though, she dreamed of doing something all her own.
That’s when she had the idea to open a nice breakfast place in East De Pere, close to her home. Her vision was a cozy place with no more than 80 seats. A place where homestyle foods were made from scratch in a bright, cheery atmosphere that made people feel welcome while driving them back every time with wonderful flavors.
That’s how Black Honey Hashery came to be, opening its doors on May 31, 2017. If you’ve somehow missed this sweet little eatery in this time, there’s no better time than right now to grab a gourmet coffee and delicious breakfast to start your day. Molly is always adding limited additions to go along with the regular menu offerings, so check out the Black Honey Hashery Facebook page (Black Honey Hashery | Facebook) to discover them.
Even if you have to get to work early, you can hit the drive-thru starting at 6am to kick off your day in the best way possible. If your morning meetings don’t go well, come back for lunch and try Molly’s favorite item on the menu, the Italiano Melt. Or pick from one of her many other divine delights. Black Honey Hashery is open until 2pm, with the exception of Tuesdays, so head over to make sure you don’t have another boring lunch at your desk.
On Sundays, Molly posts on Facebook about Cinnamon Roll Sunday. She makes a limited batch of these goodies from scratch. You’ll have to hurry in to get a taste. But if you miss out, she’s got plenty of other fantastically indulgent things available that are made fresh every day for you to fall in love with.
You can dine-in, call ahead, and drive through at Black Honey Hashery for breakfast or lunch. If you have questions about the menu or want to place an order, call Molly and her team at 920-632-4746.
